Great for both Spring and Fall planting! Matures in 50-60 days. Expect heavy yields of round, straight, pale green pods, each containing five to eight smooth peas. Peas prefer full sun to partial shade. Space peas 2.5cm-4cm apart. This shorter variety only reaching 90cm (3 feet) a short trellis can be used. They grow best when planted on the crowded side. These are great when eaten fresh in the garden and take only 5-10 days to germinate. They offer 5-7 peas per pod and have a sweet and delicious flavour. -

Green Arrow shelling pea seeds. These are excellent for fresh eating, freezing, canning, or cooking. Born in pairs at the top of the short bush are heavy yields of dark green pods to 11cm (4.5") containing 9 to 11 peas each. The peas themselves are tender and sweet and the 70cm (28") plants are resistant to enation, Fusarium wilt, root rot, Leaf Curl virus (LCV), and downy mildew, so they are ideal for coastal gardens. Green Arrow shelling pea seeds were first bred in England as a main season pea crop, and are listed in some UK sources as Green Shaft. -

This early 1900’s introduction is the standard by which all the others are graded. Each large pod grows on 75 cm stems and has pods containing 7-9 peas. This main crop pea variety has been used by gardeners from coast to coast for more than 100 years. It has a distinct pea flavour which is superior and is excellent for freezing but like all peas are best straight out of the garden. -

55 days The earliest garden pea. Developed for first seedings. Produces a concentrated set of peas earlier than any other variety we know of. Blunt-ended, 7 cm pods hold 7-8 medium-large dark green peas. 55 cm dark green vines do not require trellising. Best in cool conditions. -

Heirloom from the 1700's A unique plant with cinnamon-red flowers and prostrate growth habit. Winged pods that can be eaten if harvested at 2 cm stage. Known as Asparagus Pea for its faint similarity in flavour.
