Seed saving: Early spring plant 4-6 seeds, in a sunny location, apart from the main crop (if possible). Do not harvest leaves these seeds, let them send up their flower stalks. When the flowers are finished blooming and the seeds are well-formed, cut the stalk at soil level. (Usually mid-July) Remove leaves and discard, hang the stalk to dry in a breezy location. Within 3-5 days, the seeds will be dry enough to remove and place in a paper bag. Use these seeds for your August and October sowing, saving enough for the following year.
