Imperial Giants Mixed Scabiosa Seeds (Pincushion Flower) is a member of the Teasel family. It has big, slightly irregular ball-shaped flowers in a full range of colours. Blooms are carried on long stems, making them suitable for cut flower arrangements. At 80-100 cm in height, the plants are useful in borders and mass planting. Occasionally this variety will self sow on occasion. Scabiosa will attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and other pollinators to your garden.

Sow seed directly outdoors for best results. Select a sunny site with well-drained soil. Barely cover the seed with soil and keep moist through the 10-14 day germination period. Thin the seedlings to 30 cm apart when the plants are 5 cm tall.

Sow 1/3 package in fall, barely covering the seeds.

Sow 1/3 package 4-6 weeks before last frost date in Spring. Transplant to larger cell packs or containers when first true leaves appear. Harden off before sowing in garden or containers after the last frost date in spring.

Sow 1/3 package after last frost date in spring, barely covering the seeds.
