Info:

Kale is also called Borecole in the United Kingdom. You can harvest Kale between December and April in the south, where it is used as a winter green. Kale is a hardy plant, and does well in very hot weather. It also does well in very cold weather and can be left out in the garden all winter. You can have successive plantings throughout the year. Plant in August for fall and winter harvest. In the South, you can plant as late as October for winter harvest. Kale seeds are usually planted directly in the garden. For spring planting, plant seeds 30 days before the last frost, and 70 days before the first autumn frost for a fall crop. Plants can grow 12 – 18″ tall.
