It is best to sow seed directly outdoors April to May, lightly cover, and keep evenly moist during the 7-10 day germination period. Thin plants to 20 cm in the garden. Be advised that this variety does not transplant well. Fertilize every 2 weeks with a liquid fertilizer.
Sow seed outdoors as soon as soil can be worked. Make shallow trenches 1 cm deep. Drop 3 to 4 seeds per 30 cm of row. Later thin the plants to stand 15 to 20 cm apart. For constant flowering all summer keep the faded blooms picked off.
