Developed at Oregon State University in the 1980s, Oregon Sugar Pod II snow pea seeds are a reliable snow pea variety. SOme of their traits are heavy yields of tasty, smooth, light-green, stringless pods that are ready to harvest as long as 10cm on non-climbing, dwarf plants that grow only 75cm tall. But the glory of Oregon Sugar Pod II is its incredible disease resistance. It has good resistance to the Pea Mosaic Enation Virus, Fusarium Wilt, and powdery mildew, and that makes it ideal for fall harvest. Sow as soon as the ground can be worked in the spring and sow every two weeks until early July. Sow again in mid-August, and be ready to harvest in early-mid October.
Remember all members of the legume family should be inoculated prior to sowing.
An inoculate is easy to make and lasts for a year or more.
