How we plant our alyssum.

1. We start a batch of seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost and then plant outside after all danger of frost is over.
2. Keeping alyssum in our seed baskets, a few seeds are planted among vegetables that need pollinators like strawberries, squash, cucumbers, etc.
3. Keep the seeds moist as they dry out rather quickly especially if planted in window boxes and planters.
4. Alyssum is prone to flea beetles and aphids so washing them with a hose will help but we often use our rubbing alcohol mix to stop an infestation.
5. Most gardeners find that having quite a few alyssums around the yard and garden is attractive and beneficial.
