This English heirloom variety was bred for early maturity and a long harvest window. Glaskin's Perpetual Rhubarb is tart, but never bitter due to its naturally low oxalic acid content. If it's given a good early start indoors, it can be harvested (late) during the first season's growth. Some leaves should be left unharvested to encourage good root growth and a strong return the following summer. The thick, succulent stems grow 30-35 cm long, with a primarily pink and green pigment and some red markings. This is the best rhubarb variety for harvesting later in the year. Grow it in full sun, in rich, fertile, well-drained soil.

Hybrid-79 days Long, elegant 8-inch ears are packed with remarkable crunchy-sweet kernels on this All-America Selection winner. One of an entirely new type of corn called TripleSweet, Honey Select Hybrid combines the crunchy texture of sugary-enhanced types with the extra sweetness and great holding ability of the supersweets!  TripleSweet corn actually contains TWO kernel types, selected and reselected to create an ear that is 75% sugary-enhanced and 25% supersweet. Ideal for home gardens, it needs no isolation from other corn, and has great staying power on the stalk. Honey Select Hybrid was applauded by the AAS judges both for taste and ease of growth. These plump golden kernels are the best-tasting you will find, and they keep so well, you don't have to harvest them all at once! Taste, texture, and hold -- that's the TripleSweet advantage! Direct-sow corn seeds after the last spring frost, when the soil has warmed. Corn is famously easy to grow in any sunny spot, but be sure to plant it outdoors -- it doesn't transplant well. To extend your corn harvest, make successive sowings weekly up until mid-July, or plant varieties with differing maturity dates.
