Germinates in 7-14 days at 18-21 C
Transplant is recommended: Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost. Sow seeds on the surface of the growing medium, gently pressing them into the medium, as light is necessary for germination. Keep moist. Transplant into individual containers when seedlings are large enough to handle. Pinch tops to promote branching. Harden transplants off and plant outdoors after the last frost. Plant in containers or in herb beds 40 cm apart.
Direct seeding: Mix seeds with sand and scatter about 1 seed per cm. Press seeds down gently but firmly into the soil. Keep moist while germinating. Thin seedlings by removing weaker seedlings or transplanting them to a new location.
Plants grow 20-70 cm high.
Harvest by cutting the entire plant just as they begin to flower. Dry by hanging in small bunches in a well ventilated dry location.
Plant Marjoram between all of your Brassicas because it is particularly good for repelling cabbage moths.
