    Mild and sweet white beet. Produces very round, uniform roots to harvest as a baby beet or as a mature beet. Avalanche produces mild, very sweet beets with nice white colour both on skin and flesh. Avalanche lacks the reddish skin and bitter aftertaste that other beets possess. Healthy tops have good resistance to foliar diseases.  Avalanche produces consistently large, round roots with clean, vigorous tops. A great beet for daily juicing. Try juicing the whole beet it with broccoli, carrots, and apple. Very slow to go woody. 50 days to harvest at 8 cm roots. Try planting a few using our group planting method in TIP

    Heirloom Carrots are some of the premier baby carrots available. Bright orange, these heirloom carrots grow about 9 cm long. Each sweet carrot is crisp with a tender core. Their small size lets them grow well in containers, as well as out in the garden. Little fingers are a Nantes type of carrot. Bred in France, they develop their characteristic orange colour earlier than other varieties, these carrots can be harvested early at 8-9cm. Don't let them stay in the ground beyond around 68 days from sprouting or they begin to lose their unique gourmet flavour and texture.

    35-45 days-Mild green leaves are supported by thick, sweet, white stalks that are mild and juicy. In summer, plant Taiwan Pac Choi seeds in short rows and harvest them promptly before it bolts. Plant again at the end of summer for fall and early winter harvests. Taiwan Pac Choi seeds do not need warm soil to germinate, and they will grow into winter if given some frost protection. Try growing it under a cloche tunnel or cold frame and harvest until about December. Then start new rows around the end of February. Taiwan Pac Choi is great raw or cooked in stir-fries and soups.

They flower generously through the summer on well-branched plants that grow to 50 cm in height. Calendula is also known as the pot marigold and grows nicely in containers! One of the easiest flowers to grow. Try using petals in salads. Pick when in full bloom to dry for homemade teas, soaps, and calendula cream.     This is a standard mainstay of fall and winter harvest daikon radishes from Japan. The enormous roots can grow to 30-38cm (12-15") long and 6-8cm (2.5-3.25") in diameter.     This is a stunning and very interesting dark red carrot! The red colour comes from lycopene, the same substance found in tomatoes, well known as an anti-oxidant and reputed to have cancer-preventing properties. Lovely sweet, strong flavour, great eaten raw, but perhaps best served lightly cooked as the colour intensifies and the lycopene becomes more readily assimilated.
