    Early variety (70-80 days) for growing outdoors and greenhouses. It is a type of long, slender fruit that tastes like a cucumber. It is actually a variety of muskmelon, a species closely related to the cucumber. It is also known as the yard-long cucumber, snake cucumber, snake melon. The skin is very thin, light green, and bumpless. It has no bitterness and the fruit is almost always used without peeling. The Armenian cucumber grows approximately 30 to 36 inches long. It grows equally well on the ground or on a trellis. Armenian cucumber plants prefer to grow in full sun for most of the day. The fruit is most flavorful when it is 12-15 inches long.

    Mid-season variety (85-95 days). It hails from the city of Astrakhan, on the Volga River near the Caspian Sea. Grows 3-5 kg (6.5-11 lbs.). The Watermelon has a wonderful, delicious, delicate sweetness. The flesh is pink and the seeds seem to vary in color and can be buff, orange or brown. The rind is dark green with stripes and mottling. Good resistance to diseases.

This attractive plant is botanically different from regular pole beans and bears the tongue-twisting Latin name Vigna unguiculata sesquipidalisAt first, this plant appears to grow as a bush, but when the summer heat comes along, it bursts into vertical growth with twisting vines, and purple flowers, followed by fast-growing pods that are meant to be harvested at 60-65cm (24-26”) in length. Even at that amazing size, the beans are just over 1cm (½”) thick, tender, and tasty. These beans feature prominently in Asian cuisines and are most productive in hot weather. Start indoors mid-spring, and transplant as soon as the soil warms up at the solstice.

It is easy to grow Alpine Aster from seeds, and this particular variety produces masses of lavender, blue, pink, and white flowers with yellow centers on a top of dark-green, lance-like foliage. Aster Alpine Mix blooms for several weeks from late spring and into fall providing a colorful display and attracting bees and butterflies. Alpine Aster looks gorgeous in mass planting, rock, and alpine gardens, containers, and borders.     The Autumn King carrot is one of the more popular varieties to grow. Its split-resistant skin turns to a deep dark orange/red color as it matures. One of the largest carrots! Grows 25-30 cm long. Easy to grow in sandy soil. A favorite of many home growers.  Carrots are sun-loving plants that also like the cold. Just keep them consistently watered and they'll be happy.     Mild and sweet white beet. Produces very round, uniform roots to harvest as a baby beet or as a mature beet. Avalanche produces mild, very sweet beets with nice white colour both on skin and flesh. Avalanche lacks the reddish skin and bitter aftertaste that other beets possess. Healthy tops have good resistance to foliar diseases.  Avalanche produces consistently large, round roots with clean, vigorous tops. A great beet for daily juicing.     Heirloom Carrots are some of the premier baby carrots available. Bright orange, these heirloom carrots grow about 9 cm long. Each sweet carrot is crisp with a tender core. Their small size lets them grow well in containers, as well as out in the garden. Little fingers are a Nantes type of carrot. Bred in France, they develop their characteristic orange colour earlier than other varieties, these carrots can be harvested early at 8-9cm.
